With a background in American Classic Bellydance, Kung Fu and Turkish Oriental styling, Ruby is taking the stage with her own powerhouse style.
Rubys love of Turkish culture and dance have drawn her to head strait for the source and study extensively in Istanbul. She is widely recognized for a raw, untamed and passionate dance style that has won numerous titles including 2010 Bellydancer of the World 1st Runner up and
2009 Bellydancer USA.
In addition to being a multi-award winning performer, Ruby is a certified Pilates instructor and is featured on several instructional and performance DVDs including her own full length instructionals: Flawless Floorwork, Totally Turkish and All About Arms. Ruby currently travels worldwide bringing her energetic and joyful style to workshops and performances around the globe.

SWIFTI CHIFTI 10:00am-12:00pm
Get your Turkish style on with some fun, upbeat Chiftetelli combos and rhythm breakdown. We'll be breaking down the chiftetelli rhythm then exploring how to dance to it upbeat style with different props and a little bit of structured improvisation. *Bring zills and Chiffon veil.
EXPLORATIONS IN IMPROVISATION 1:00pm-3:00pm
Improvisation is at the heart of bellydance. This exploratory class will give you the tools to perform flawless improvisation on stage or in restaurant/clubs. Through staging technique, creative exercises and movement recall practices you'll be improvising in no time.

STANDING TAXIME 11:00am-1:00pm
Standing taxime is one of the most challenging sections of the bellydance performance with an emphasis on deliberate and expressive improvisation to a single instrument. In this innovative class we begin with an intricate review of slow muscular isolations and steps then move into exercises in improvisation and self-awareness finishing off with ideas for interpreting individual instruments found in improvisational taxime.
Ruby will be teaching 3 exciting and unique workshops.
